Fine joins Save The Children efforts to support Hurricane John victims in Guerrero, Mexico
October 3rd, 2024
On September 23rd, Tropical Storm John intensified, forming into a Category 3 hurricane, which caused torrential rains and severe flooding in areas already previously affected by Otis in Acapulco and various parts of Guerrero. These communities suffered floods up to three meters high, leaving thousands of people in their homes without electricity.
Save the Children estimates that more than half a million people have been affected, including more than 200,000 children and teenagers.
This organization reached us earlier this week for support and we decided to launch an urgent campaign, being the first organization to respond to this call and hoping others to join soon.
In collaboration with Save the Children, we have pledged to do a donation for every survey completed by doctors in our Mexican panel from October 1st to December 31st. These donations will directly support Save the Children’s ongoing efforts in the region, including the rehabilitation of schools, emergency transfers, and child protection initiatives aimed at reaching over 21,000 people.
This is part of a proven effort since we had positive previous similar experiences with Save The Children and other organizations. Earlier this year we run a successful campaign on behalf of those affected by the floods in Porto Alegre (BRAZIL), which lead to community engagement and a relevant contribution.
In the Guerrero campaign with your continued partnership, we are looking to donate over 10,000 USD during the campaign (half of such amount already anticipated).
This is a cause that we are proud to support, but could not it without the help of our clients and through this action, your surveys will not only provide valuable insights but also contribute to the recovery and well-being of vulnerable children and families in Guerrero.
We are grateful for your partnership and hope that together we can make a meaningful impact during these difficult times.
Thank you for being a part of this effort.
